This heritage-listed wellbeing retreat centre in the Scottish Highlands needed to develop a strong visual identity to help it stand out in the crowded local promotional marketplace. Circle motifs provide simple, eye-catching brand recognition; vintage fonts and illustrations reflect the Victorian heritage; plenty of clean lines, space and cheerful greens promote the eco-values – and a dash of bright berry gives a hint of the quirky personality which makes this social enterprise such a success.

For the launch of his new fitness studio, Fred Ferge invited us to refresh his existing logo and develop it into a brand to be used across all his printed literature and stationery. We reflected the holistic nature of his services with sweeping lines, circular motifs and overlapping shapes, adding two further calming colours to his existing signature blue.

Galop

Almost 10 years on from the hugely successful rebrand we did, which placed Galop firmly on the map, they asked us to take their increased profile to the next level and make it more eye-catching and less corporate. The challenge was to maintain existing brand recognition, but build in a softer, fresher feel with a range of brighter colours and curves. In addition we developed an innovative flexible information sidebar. Used in conjunction with the logo across all promotional materials, this allows for a much more targeted reflection of the widening scope of Galop’s work.

Frescoes Forever

The five colours we chose to use are historically the most frequently used in frescoes but they also communicate the vibrancy and luminosity of the technique which is so 21st century. We used a ‘pick and mix’ format across the different media, letting the colours interact flexibly with the logo to give a fresh and exciting feel to the brand at all times.
